A lot has been accomplished in the past few days. The lumber keeps coming, from Bainbridge Island Lumberman's.
First are some pictures from the 12/20/07 of the main floor work.
Anas, the Supervisor.
Putting up the floor joists.
Below are some pictures of the main floor framing finished and the third floor in the process of being completed.
Here is my Dad meeting with the framing company VP and Supervisor.
A good shot containing most of the area of the main floor.
And the third floor, with the view of Lake Washington, Husky Stadium, the UW campus, Seattle, the Space Needle, and the Olympic Mountains on a good day (maybe Rainier).
These are before the walls are put up.
And finishing the digging for the stairway from the basement to the alley.
Coming back to the job-site the next morning (12/22/07), the exterior walls of the third floor were put up.
Later that afternoon the interior walls were put in place (mostly).
The joists will be installed after Christmas. The work is moving very fast, and my Dad has been solving many problems (south side main floor window placement, basement to first floor stairwell, the main floor sub-floor fiasco). It's very nice to have an experienced general contractor around.
